Flan

Noted for its creaminess, flan is a dessert that results from mixing egg, sugar, milk and vanilla essence. In the elaboration process you will need a mold as an indispensable tool, which will determine the shape you will obtain at the end.

Our recommendations for these molds are two, a large square mold and a large square moldwhere you can make a large quantity at the same time and then cut it into many portions, saving time. On the other hand, if you prefer to prepare it in a more individualized way, we recommend you this mold that comes in a circular shape and in a pack of 6..

This dessert is prepared with whole milk, egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, lemon and orange peel to taste and cinnamon stick. An indispensable tool for its preparation is to have an electric burner. electric burner, we link you to ourWe link you to our option.

Batch cooking, save time and money in one evening for the whole week

A typical trend in Anglo-Saxon countries is now landing in Spain, the “batch cooking”. Images of this practice have gone so viral on social networks that more and more Spaniards are implementing it every day.

What does it consist of?

“Batch cooking” or “meal prep” is a method that allows us, in a few hours, to prepare meals for the whole week, or the whole month! This method allows us to save time, money and eat in a healthy and balanced way.

In one afternoon you will have all your meals ready to heat up or finish preparing very quickly.

What are the benefits of batch cooking?

  • Time and cost savings, since by being clear about what you are going to consume during the week, the purchase will not be more than necessary. This also means less waste of food and a more efficient use of energy for cooking.
  • Better for the environment, both energy efficiency and food optimization help generate less waste.
  • It helps you to eat healthier, since thanks to this method you avoid last minute meals and ultra-processed foods.

The keys to make your batch cooking a success.

  • Plan your meals on a weekly basis (or with the seasonality that best suits you), it is necessary to make a good organization, either of the daily menu or of the ingredients to mix them later.
  • Use multipurpose foods for several meals, a little of each main ingredient to prepare all our meals.
  • Cooking several ingredients at the same time, there is not much explanation, optimize your time! At first you may find it a bit confusing, but with time you will go very fast.
  • Preserve food properly, keep each food properly stored and preserved, so that when it is time to eat it, it will be as good as the first day.

Some examples that will make your mouth water

  • Homemade meatballs: a dish loved by many people, the meatballs are very easy to prepare and also to make a lot of quantity. One of the most important utensils for this recipe is to have a good mortar, we recommend this Le Creuset mortar.
  • Homemade hamburgers: Who doesn’t like a good hamburger? Especially if it is made to our taste and with our favorite side dish. For this it is necessary to use a good frying pan, we really like this Efficient frying pan, it also has a considerable size.
  • Spinach with chickpeas: we could not miss a spoon recipe, so here we leave you this very healthy one. For it you will have to cook the chickpeas in a pot, and the bigger the pot, the more food you can make. Like this Prior pot.
  • Cocido madrileño: perfect to warm up the body and fill it with energy, as it can take a little longer, we recommend you to use an express cooker, specifically this Vitesse pressure cooker.

Finally, we would like to remind you that if you need any kind of kitchen utensils for your premises, do not hesitate to visit us, we are located in Parque Albán de Armilla, Granada.

5 tips to make your beach bar a success

Summer is a difficult time for a large part of the hospitality industry, but there is an exception: the beach bars! The sun, the beach and everything that has happened this year makes everyone eager to go to a beach bar. But how can you make a difference, do you want to make the most of it? Keep reading because this article is sure to interest you.

Here are the 5 fundamental aspects that you should take into account to set up or improve your beach bar.

Location of the beach bar.

The closer it is to the beach the better, beach bars are characteristic of coastal places, so the closer it is to the beach, the more differential value it will have.

Music to enhance the atmosphere.

We recommend you to play the HITS of this summer as well as those of the previous summer, a good summer is not conceivable without good music hits. This makes music a fundamental factor that promotes happiness and comfort inside your place.

It offers a personalized food service.

Don’t panic, we are not referring to a personalized meal for each person. But each place has a characteristic gastronomy and different climatic situations. So if we want our customers to enjoy a good meal, we must take care of it properly.

Chiringuito style

It is necessary to mark the difference, if there is one thing that many beach bars are guilty of, it is that they are very similar to each other, so that in the end, customers are not loyal to any of them.

We recommend you to mount something eye-catching, whether it is painting the facade in extravagant colors or decorating it with lights that help to attract attention.

Pay special attention to the materials with which you are going to build the beach bar, as the finish of these will determine the final appearance of it. Some materials that are widely used and that give very good results are wood, reed or heather roofs, etc.

As for the interior of the establishment, you can use LED or neon lights, it is also advisable to use wooden or glass perimeter fences, and finally, the use of plants always gives a fresh touch to the premises.

Customer service.

It may sound basic, but nowadays there are a lot of beach bars that don’t have this in mind. Queues form, people get angry, their demands don’t get through, etc. This in the end only creates a bad climate, and therefore, a reduction in the number of visitors.

We hope you find this post useful and that you can get the most out of your detox diets. Gaytan by Javier Aranda

Javier Aranda, the young and promising Spanish chef, who already has a Michelin Star to his credit, has just opened his second restaurant in Madrid, Gaytan.

To do so, he joined forces with Pilsa and we both achieved a real success. Gaytan is one of the most spectacular restaurants visually speaking that we have elaborated so far, and the elements used are not for less…

A bar composed of a champagne bar with smoke effect, welcomes diners, followed by a wine cellar fully integrated into the restaurant. Both designed and manufactured entirely by Pilsa.

“A good meal should always be accompanied by a good drink, at an ideal temperature.”

The most outstanding part of Gaytan is undoubtedly the kitchen. Being an open-plan restaurant, it is fully integrated into the space, without glass or any kind of separator between the dining room and the kitchen.

Rest. Gaytan

The Majestic kitchen designed and prepared by Pilsa to the taste of Javier Aranda, is located in the center of the space, delighting both the chef and his customers and allowing them to be part of the whole process. The gastronomic experience at Gaytan is enjoyed with all five senses.

Owning a kitchen like the Majestic not only provides the chef with the convenience of adapting to his needs, but also gives the restaurant a personal and innovative touch.

aranda2

Rest. Gaytan

But we had a challenge. Being an open-plan kitchen, as we have pointed out above, we had to avoid any kind of constructive element, so the kitchen is equipped with a filtering roof, so that in the cooking area is guaranteed total and balanced ventilation of the kitchen.

The rest of the kitchen support elements, such as auxiliary tables, are equipped with materials such as Dekton and Silestone, which adapt perfectly to the line that the chef wanted to follow in his establishment from the beginning.

Rest. Gaytan

If you have the opportunity, we invite you to visit Gaytan and enjoy not only the good service and the quality of its dishes, but also the great work done by the Pilsa team, creating unforgettable gastronomic experiences.

If you want to see all the photos of this project, don’t forget to visit our website.

A bar counter made with a smoke effect bottle display, welcomes its guests, followed by a fully integrated wine cellar. Both entirety designed and manufactured by Pilsa.

“A good meal needs a good drink to an ideal temperature and with an attractive presentation”.

Above all, we can highlight the kitchen which Pilsa has designed, elaborated and installed. It is the real protagonist at Gaytan, without a doubt. It is completely integrated into the space, no crystals or any separating element between customers and cooks.

The kitchen Majestic allows clients to be participants of the whole food process. For this reason, Gaytán clients enjoy a gastronomic experience with all their senses. Having a kitchen like the majestic not only allows chef adapted comfort to his needs, but also to give the restaurant the sophistication and innovative style.

Furthermore, avoiding any kind of constructive element, the kitchen is equipped with a filter roof to ensure the complete ventilation of the Kitchen.

The other elements of the kitchen, like support tables, are equipped of Dekton and Silestone materials, which adapt perfectly to the kitchen line.
